    Do not fret. As the years pass, stair walkers will naturally ease over to the side with the hand rail.

    likewise, here in Okinawa, we drive on the left, but in the pool, the lap rotation is still on the right… very confusing for the blond folks ;)

    And funnily enough, on the London Underground the convention on the escalators is to stand on the right…
